OBJECTIVES OF RESEARCH CELL

To create research environment for facilitating research activities in the college.

To inculcate research skills and to develop interest and awareness about research among students and faculty.

To provide basic infrastructure required for research work.

To encourage and motivate faculty members to undertake research work like research project, Ph.D. registration etc.

To provide assistance for applying various research schemes from government and non-government organizations

To enhance the research output of the institute by research paper publication in referred journals and reputed conferences.

To keep track and record of publications made by the faculty.

To publish research material in appropriate media and to make available such published information to the end users.

To encourage and motivate students to take part in research related activities.

To organize workshop/seminar and conferences related to research.

To motivate staff members for collaborative research works with industries, recognized laboratories and reputed institutions.

To coordinate and solve the research related issues of faculty and students.

FUNCTIONS OF RESEARCH CELL

To encourage faculty members to prepare research proposals, interdisciplinary research, product design and development, publications in reputed journals and conferences.

To discuss various aspects of research programme on a timely basis.

To suggest peer reviewed National and International journals for subscription in the central library.

To encourage faculties to apply for patents or other Intellectual Property Rights.

To allocate budget for conducting workshops, training programs, seminars, conferences and Faculty Development Program also for the staff who are attending workshops, conferences and paper presentation outside the institute. It also includes software purchasing for various departments for research purpose (like Design expert, statistics etc.).

To motivate faculty and students to design, fabricate and implement viable functional projects for the benefits of institute and society.

To motivate students and faculties for presenting technical papers/projects at least in National conferences, competitions and exhibitions.
ACTIVITIES OF THE RESEARCH CELL

The BORS Committee is the main body responsible for enhancing the quality of research and innovation activities taken up by faculty members and students and has the following responsibilities:

Reviewing the research papers and proposals for project funding, recommendation of FDP, conferences etc.

Review and maintenance of approved journal/conference list.
-
Taking decisions on award of faculty incentives, reimbursement of expenses related to conference registration/travel or institute funding of conferences/workshops.

Faculty Recruitment and Knowledge upgrade.

Recommendation on advanced courses to be initiated.

Motivating the students to do Entrepreneur projects.
